ARCHERY HUNTING CHANGES - COMMENTS CLOSED 9 MAY

Bowhunters: We need you to comment to DWR on the proposed changes to the 2025-2026 regulations. See the proposals and comment link here:

The two main issues:

* Bowhunters in some areas West of the Blue Ridge are losing up to 14 days of Either Sex Deer Season. Firearms deer season is being extended in these same areas, so we want to keep this season!

* Archery Bear season is being reduced in many areas. We think a 7 day reduction vs a 14 day reduction is adequate to help the bear population.

The Final Scores for the VBA State 3-D Spring Classic Championship are IN! WOW what an exciting finish in the Senior Hunter style - we had a tie for Third Place between TOM KORBINI and FRANKLIN JONES, Jr.! A Shoot-Off was held, and in a dramatic finish with thunderous applause from the masses of onlookers, TOM KORBINI took the Bronze! Thank you to all our shooters, and a Big THANK YOU to Bowhunters of Rockingham for hosting!

ALL SHOOTERS WELCOME - REGISTER NOW!

The VBA Spring Classic 3-D State Championship is SATURDAY & SUNDAY, APRIL 26 & 27! Thank you to Bowhunters of Rockingham for hosting! Shoot one or two rounds and take your best score. Twenty-five targets each round, marked distance (may use range finder), IBO rules and classes. Shoot fees: $30 per archer for the first two family members, $10 Youth, $60 max per family. Non-VBA members: $40 each. Registration details below!
